The Refill Market
The Refill Market is happy to offer in-store recycling of certain otherwise-would-be-trash items for our customers!
Accepted Items:
Crayons
Oral care products: All brands of used or empty toothpaste tubes and caps, toothbrushes, toothpaste cartons, toothbrush outer packaging, and floss containers. Electric toothbrushes, battery toothbrushes, and/or their parts are not accepted for recycling through this program.
Razors: All brands of blades and razors (systems and disposable units, and replaceable-blade cartridge units), rigid plastic packaging, and flexible plastic bag packaging.
Brita filters: Brita products and packaging.
Plastic bags: Clean produce bags, store bags, ice bags, ziploc bags, cereal box liners, bubble wrap, plastic e-commerce mailers.
Drink pouches: All brands of plastic or aluminum empty drink pouches., straws
Squeezable snack pouches: All brands of empty squeezable snack pouches and caps. (cleaned)
Bottle caps: Small plastic and metal caps (nothing bigger than a Gatorade bottle cap)
Sports nutrition packaging: All brands of sports nutrition packaging including protein powder containers, energy bar/gel wrappers and packets and drink mix packets.

The Resource Exchange
The Resource Exchange provides inspiration and reclaimed materials for
creative and environmentally resourceful making, teaching & living.
Their nonprofit shop, gallery, and workshop space promotes creative reuse, recycling, and resource conservation by diverting valuable materials from the waste stream and redirecting them to artists, builders, educators, and the general public.
